Jarlmadangah Song

My name is Junior Milgin. I live here at Jarlmadangah, I'm here because all my family is here, my grandfather is buried here . It makes us feel ourself , we feel more safe beside our ancestors because he taught us everything he knows, our culture our hunting and respect , how to survive in the bush . I just like to be here , watch this place grow with more kids , more people , get stronger . I work here around the community, I just finished my course in environmental health and I want to mainly just look after the community, the country, help us have a healthy life in the community here. I've been always playing guitar ever since i was twelve . I went to Perth for abmusic , that was for two or three months . I didn't do much because I got homesick and I came back and I started off a music class with kids here in Jarlmadangah school. It turned out alright , they were interested in their own music, their own songs, They would like to write and when school got bigger they started to play by themselves. I'm putting my music up here on this blog because I want young and old people to know that writing songs and music tells a lot of story and you can tell story with music and you can build a better future , you can communicate and it's like you putting yourself out somewhere if you want to be a musician
