"Monu Hello my name is Monu Pandey My father is a weaver and mother is a plain housewife I am drawing since I was 5 years old and am very fond of painting In primary school we got an excellent drawing teacher She encouraged us to make paintings and showed us the way After attending her classes I came to know how powerful medium of expression it can be But this teacher left soon due to her personal reasons Currently I am in Class 9 and my drawing teacher now is Mrs Miraz Shastri She draws beautifully but is very strict We miss our previous drawing teacher I want to become an arts teacher when I grow up So with this foresight I have taken arts as my specialization I want to go to university for higher studies in arts View my work"

"Suman My name is Suman Yadav My age is fifteen My father is a milkman while my mother takes care of home My father loves me very much I help my mother in doing household works before leaving for school After returning from school I do the same My family members always force me to leave study They say that a girl should earn expertise only in doing household works so that when she is married she can serve her husband and his family with perfection But I am a strong-willed girl I tell them that I want to study so that I can become independent in the future I begin to study after my family members have slept I also devote some time on study early in the morningI enjoy work of any kind I always feel sad to see my fellow villagers living in abject poverty and fighting with one another over trifles My eyes get wet when I see some of small children starving from hunger Therefore I want to be a social activist so that can take up their issues in public and help them get rid of poverty and get social justice I know it is possible only when I myself am able to continue my study I hope I will View my work"

"Mala Hello this is Mala a school student from Tikri village My father is a plumber and mother a housewife I love my village but few violent people spoil the peace here These are men who drink and beat their wives and little children Recently an uncle residing nearby came to his house and started shouting over his wife Later I came to know that he was drunk and last night he tried to intimidate his wife physically This man beats his family often and people like him are in abundance When I grow up I want to become a social activist so that I can move to places and make women aware of their rights Personally I have a feeling that these men who beat their family are actually involved in physical labour So I think they have the tendency to take out the frustration that they have suffered throughout the day on their family I will try to draw the attention of administration towards such practices so that the culprits can be punished View my work"
